If you have ever thought about any of the questions or themes below, then this course is for you....
What is the role of beauty in the life a believer, our churches and our cultures?
Why does art matter in the Kingdom of God?
Why the Church & Culture needs Artists following the way of Jesus…
What is the relationship between worship, prayer and art?
A 4 week online course led by artist Jon White exploring a theology of creativity and our great need for beauty in faith, community and culture. Our time will be spent with teaching, discussion, prayer and creative practices journeying through the scriptures and looking at how beauty and creative expression are defining elements of true worship.
As part of this course you will be led through some simple creative practices that combine drawing with spiritual disciplines and ancient Christian tradition. All are welcome and there is no need to be an ‘artist’ to join this course or have any previous experience in drawing. As we journey together and open ourselves to the Holy Spirit our prayer is that you will re-discover the beauty, mystery and wonder of our artisan God.
The content of this course has been developed over the last 5 years and has shaped the themes and content of our retreats and schools. Where those events have been exclusively for young adults this course has no age restrictions.
In signing up for this course you will also receive a physical copy of Volume 1 of “The Way of The Artisan” Prayer guide to further your journey into new creation.

It’s a great question. By nature of design we would argue you already are an artist but you don’t have to be a practicing artist to join this course or in anyway feel like a ‘creative.’ The course is for anyone who is interested in exploring these topics in relation to their faith.
-
